| Somebody recently accused us of
being twee; i don't think that quite fits. Someone once said we sounded like Tilly and the Wall; I could sort of see that, in that we have a bunch of ladies in the group, but we're too sad and dysfunctional. Jed of My Teenage Stride once flatteringly wrote that we sounded like a "less drunk Aislers Set"; that was a high compliment in my esteem since I'm obsessed with their sound. Somebody once wrote that we sounded like we loved each other, and they got that one right on the head, although it'd be nice if our music could reflect that we got into arguments every so often. Oh yes, once someone came up to us and told us we sounded like a soundtrack for a 60's French spy film; that was really nice, although I think we fall a bit short of that. However you cut it, it is what it is, and we appreciate every word of support and love we get. It's like getting a wink from your secret crush, your heart just melts everytime. |
